Insect farming feed INSECTUS

INSECTUS develops and produces high quality insect feed for insect farming. INSECTUS, a brand of Mijten animal feed, has more than 10 year's experience in the development and production of insect farming feed. In close co-operation with professional insect farms and in the INSECTUS testing facility, the insect feed is tested and improved. The feed meets high quality standards.

  • GMP Certified: INSECTUS products are produced under GMP certification standards.
  • Dillution Assured: Insects are sensitive animals. They react strongly to changing environmental factors and various substances. Because much is still unknown about the sensitivity of insects and research is needed, we choose to use many different raw materials in the composition of the feed. We know through years of experience that offering our balanced feed carefully compiled to the known nutritional needs of insects leads to good results.
  • High Feed Conversion:  Years of experience and practical results have led to the INSECTUS feed, with a high feed conversion. The INSECTUS feed is tasty and the insects can make good use of the nutrients present in the feed.
The INSECTUS product range contains insect specific products for mealworms, lesser mealworms and crickets.

And because the low usage of resources, it can be a profitable way of producing high quality protein. The protein can be used in the feed and food industry.

How to make it profitable?

The profitability of insect farming is determined by yield and weight gain. The amount of yield and weight gain depends on several factors:
  • Efficient production process
  • Controlled production process
  • Safe production process
  • Healthy growth and development of the insects
  • A high feed conversion of the insects
INSECTUS emphasizes on feeding the insects with a safe feed which is efficient in usage and can be easily used in controlled production processes. The INSECTUS feed gives a healthy growth and development of the insects, leading to maximum reproduction and high yield.
